Strategy
Through education in schools, at events, and in media we are challenging harmful norms and all unequal, sexist attitudes leading to sex-buying.
Using science, research, and real life stories we are set on educating the public about the heath effects of porn consumption and sex-buying, creating a space to make informed decisions.
The problem
A lot of men pay for sex. In Sweden, every 10th guy claims he’s at least once paid for sex. Sex-buying is one of the primary reasons the sex-trade even exists.
Research indicates strong causal links between porn consumption, and sexually aggressive attitudes which is a risk factor for committing a sexual offense.
Porn consumption also increases the statistical likelihood of sex-buying, which is one of the main reasons Changing attitudes includes porn in its preventive work against sex-buying.
Other reasons are that porn consumption have an impact on young consumers health: sexuality, lifestyle, relationships, and attitudes.
Our demand
Goal: Eliminate all attitudes leading to sex-buying
Demands: These are our demands to make sure we reach our goal: Read our demands.
To prevent exploitation in the production chain Changing attitudes always strive to have our products be produced in such a matter that promotes the environment, sustainability, human rights, and health.
Structure
Changing attitudes is a youth organization made up of local CA-teams. A team is a group young people eliminating all attitudes leading to sex-buying, in their city. The activities preformed by our CA-teams is what ensures our ongoing evolvement. HQ supports and serves our CA-teams.
The annual meeting held in Sweden hold the highest rights of decision where a democratically elected representative from each CA-team holds a right to vote. All members hold the right to be present at the annual meeting, and the right to free speech.
Signing up as a member is totally free, and applies to one year at a time. Each year the member is asked to update their membership.
Changing attitudes is funded mainly through governmental funding coming from MUCF.
The entire organization, and the democratic process is inspected each year by an authorized accountant, and by MUCF.
